The Four Pillars
We are students first. We strive to challenge and push each other to not take our education for granted and embrace every aspect of it. We are aware that academics involve more that just grades, but the enthusiasm to learn and share that with the community.
As a Filipinx-interest sisterhood, being aware of our culture and others' cultures is important. Whether it be the Filipinx culture, or any other culture, we strive to be aware of our differences and find strength in them.
The Ates are dedicated to serving their community in any way possible. We have participated in NW Harvest, Asian American Film Festival, ACRS Gala, and many more. If community service is one of your passions, or you have an event you'd like us to participate in, then send us an email!
In 2017, we ratified one of our pillars to show the inclusive nature of our sisterhood. In changing from female to womxn, we hope to create a more open community with our sisters, and anyone who identifies as a womxn.
